Kirk Grycan founded Amkirk Landscape Construction Inc. in 1995.  He is a Journeyman Landscape Horticulturist from Olds College and apprenticed with Greenland Garden Centre in Sherwood Park, Alberta from 1990 to 1995.  Kirk also is a Canadian Certified Playground Inspector and has been installing playgrounds since 2008.

Kirk takes pride in every job and as a “hands on” owner, you will find him on site, full-time, working alongside his employees, to provide leadership and supervision, and to ensure quality results.

Amkirk provides landscape construction services to the greater Edmonton area and installs playgrounds throughout Alberta.

 

Our scope of work includes:

• Playgrounds
  • New site preparation
  • Playground installations
  • Redevelopment of existing playground sites
• Outdoor classrooms
  • Learning areas with log, boulder, or concrete seating that allow for teaching and enjoyment of the outdoors
  • Areas can also include garden boxes, edible fruits and herbs, and perennials to foster learning in and about nature
• Sports fields
  • Ball diamonds
  • Soccer fields
  • Running tracks
• Shelters/gazebos
  • Metal shelters in various sizes, from small shade structures to a large amphitheater for outdoor concerts

Our Volunteer Projects:

“Play It Forward”

• We have installed over 15 recycled playgrounds in Belize and Guatemala, in partnership with Emmanuel Foundation’s “Play It Forward” program and volunteers from various Rotary Clubs
